Robert Northcutt

He received an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Arizona in 1990, and his teaching certification in mathematics from the Northern Plains Transition to Teaching (NPTT) Program at Montana State University in 2008.

Prior to beginning his teaching career in 2007, he spent 20 years in the business world. He was a partner with the global consulting company Accenture in their Utilities practice.  He specialized in competitive wholesale electricity markets and worked for clients in Australia, Europe, Asia and throughout North America.

During graduate school, he worked at the Center for Nonlinear Studies at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and, prior to that, worked for an integrated circuit design company in the Silicon Valley.

At Polson HS, he taught Math 1 (Algebra), Math 2 (Geometry) and Transition Math. He was also an assistant coach for the Speech and Drama team. He enjoys most outdoor activities, all sports, the internet and good food. During the summer, we spend most of our time in Red Lodge, MT with friends and family.

Rose Northcutt

Rose graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School in 1985 and attended the University of Arizona where she received her BSBA in Finance & Economics in 1990.  It was here that she met Robert at a Wildcat Basketball game and her life would change forever.  She took a job with Accenture after graduating and worked as a consultant in the Consumer Products Divison.  After getting married, a string of jobs followed for Rose as she (happily) followed her husband around the world.  She worked for Carolina Power and Light, Solutions Consulting, and Accenture again (this time in a remote position).  She finally decided to do volunteer work instead, because she felt too guilty for constantly quitting, and she didn’t like having to go through the interviewing process over and over.  She loves traveling, food, wine, hiking, biking, gardening, reading, friends and family.  Life is a wonderful adventure, and she’s been fortunate to be able to share it with the person she loves the most.
